The Syrian Justice Minister clarified that "the warrant was delivered, yesterday [Thursday], to the General Prosecutor Saeed Mirza, who on his part delivered a copy to the Lebanese [Justice] Minister Shakib Qartabawi".

In the same context, the sources indicated that the recent Lebanese announcement, in which it declared that the Lebanese army arrested "armed groups", represents a "document" on which the Syrian authorities depended to address the Lebanese authorities in this regard.

On this level, the same source indicated that this measure requires from Lebanon to respond to the Syrian demand, especially as it enrolls within the context of the 1951 judiciary agreement signed between both, its annex signed in 1991, and the bilateral defense agreement, also sealed in 1991
.
The sources added that in the Syrian authorities' perspective, the armed groups are "outlaw" elements.
