A twin blast rocked Saturday morning the Syrian capital Damascus killing dozens of civilians and security personnel.

The official Syrian television reported that "two terrorist bombings struck Damascus this morning;" adding that "preliminary reports suggested the bombers had blown up vehicles packed with explosives."
It also said that "one explosion targeted an intelligence complex and the second hit a security police building."

For its part CNN channel reported that "a third explosion occurred in a bus belonging to the Palestine Liberation Army camp in another part of Damascus." However, Syrian state TV did not confirm that that blast occurred.
The explosions came hours after the so-called "Syrian Revolution" warned on its "facebook" pages Syrian citizens "not to go out of their homes and to avoid public spaces."

It further added that "the "Free Syrian army" is to carry out massive bombings in Damascus."
In the same context, militia elements of the so-called "Free Syrian Army" announced a week ago that the militia is planning a big hit in Syria."
