Berri: Iran Pioneer in Anti-Zionist Resistance Front, Lebanon to Progress in Oil File

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran plays an important role in maintaining and strengthening the anti-Zionist resistance front.
During his meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hussein Amir-Abdollahian in Beirut on Thursday, Berri stated that the "extensive presence of people to support the Islamic establishment in Iran is a strategic element in denting a blow to the plots of the enemies."
For his part, Amir-Abdollahian emphasized the importance of taking advantage of all parliamentary and popular capacities in Iran and Lebanon, in order to boost the Islamic Awakening trend in the region. He also described the move as a "significant factor to consolidate the achievements of the resistance front."
Moreover, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister indicated the necessity to maintain caution against Zionist plots on the region, reiterating his country's support of popular demands in Syria, Yemen, and Bahrain.
On another level, Speaker Berri expressed content regarding steps to solve the electricity file. However, in an interview with as-Safir daily, Berri scolded the "extreme slow pace" in appointing the administrative board to oversee the petroleum sector. He said that there is no "convincing reason not to accept any candidates to the body", and confirmed that it is illogical to wait until the decrees are issued to appoint the members.
Furthermore, Lebanon's speaker further rebuked how the [oil] sector is tackled so slowly on the Lebanese side, while "Israel" has augmented progress in the same issue.
