Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc member MP Ali Fayyad said that "the UN has failed to declare an official ceasefire between Lebanon and the "Israeli" enemy through resolution 1701," noting that the "Israeli" enemy is indulged in committing aggressive acts against Lebanon as it breaches its sovereignty on daily basis.
Fayyad pointed out that during the past few months, the "Israeli" enemy has submerged no less than 850 square kilometers of Lebanon's marine gas and oil fields which encompass great amounts of Lebanese riches.
Fayyad Assures: Any “Israeli” Aggression Will Have Ominous Consequences During the commemoration of the Khiam massacre at the hands of "Israel" back in 1978, where 31 civilians were killed, Fayyad said that the annual commemoration of the Khiam massacre is not only an occasion to console the parents and families of the victims and shed light on one example of "Israel's" unparalleled aggression and savageness, but also to look into the political, security, and ethical alleged excuse that may justify such unrestrained and fierce killing of innocent Muslims whose only crime was to hold on to their land and homes.
Fayyad also assured that such massacres belong to an era that will not be repeated again, stressing that the "Israeli" enemy realizes very well that any new crimes the Zionist entity commits will cost it a very high price. He reiterated "Those who think that we no longer need the resistance are mistaken, as it is essential that Lebanon defends itself."
On the internal level, the deputy emphasized the importance of national dialogue, urging some parties to give up negative talk about the resistance arms which protects the country. Fayyad also reminded that the resistance was the first to call for dialogue on a defense strategy which is a major issue on the table of discussions.
