Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi warned the Western countries that the Iranian officials are fully vigilant about all plots schemed against the Islamic Republic and will not yield to US pressure.
Salehi: Sanctions May Cause Minor Problems, But We’ll Continue on Our Path
"The West considers that like many countries, Iran will also succumb to US pressure, but the assumption is basically wrong," Salehi told IRNA on Monday.
Furthermore, Salehi indicated that the Western powers have been scheming hopeless plots against Iran, which on its part succeeded in thwarting the conspiracies "through vigilance and prudence".

He emphasized that all the Iranian are cautious and would not ever underestimate any enemy, even if it were inferior.
"Iranian officials are fully prepared to defend the Islamic Republic's accomplishments against the adversaries' encroachments," Minister Salehi reiterated.

Also, Iranian Foreign Minister pointed out that the Western countries have been exerting pressure on Iran over the past 33 years, and therefore recently imposed sanctions on the different Iranian sectors, including banks.
On this level, Salehi's stance was, "Sanctions may cause minor problems for us, but we will continue on our path."
