The Deputy Head of Hizbullah's Executive Council, His Eminence Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, confirmed on Sunday that "the resistance managed to expand its military potentials to prepare itself for achieving victory in any confrontation."

During a commemorative ceremony in the South, His Eminence highlighted that "the resistance is ready to face any aggression despite all the challenges that Lebanon and the region are facing, the attempts to weaken and obstruct the resistance's arming, as well as all the internal provocations, Syrian developments and the international pressure."

"Since 2005, we have been exposed to the most financially-backed campaign to tarnish the image of the resistance and to shake its prestige, reputation, and credibility," he noted.
"However, after 7 years, the media and incitement campaigns against the resistance and its leaders achieved nothing as the confidence, endorsement, and respect for the resistance and its leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has increased," Sheikh Qaouk added.
The official further stated that "as we move closer towards the parliamentary elections, resistance opponent's tension escalates and so does their political and media campaign against it."

"The Washington broad campaign of incitement against the resistance comes upon US orders ahead of the 2012 Lebanese parliamentary elections," he predicted.
His Eminence added "we are confident that no incitement or incident is able to change the convictions of our people. [Such American incitement] in fact reflects their disappointment, stress, and frustration before the successes, victories, and the growing capacity of resistance, which will keep its weapons as a fork in its enemies' eyes."

Sheikh Qaouk also announced that Hizbullah is not satisfied with the cabinet's performance, adding that "the exigencies that prompt us to preserve the government, also prompt us to say that we are not satisfied with the slowdown, procrastination, missed opportunities and delay in its achievements."
On the Bahraini front, His Eminence stressed that "the events taking place in Bahrain constitute a crime against humanity; a crime that has blood-stained the Arab leaders' hands, who gave green light to the "Peninsula Shield" armies to invade the country and take part in the killing and suppression of its people.

""Israel"- in spite of all its brutality- subjected to the demands of the hunger strikers and released them, while in Bahrain, detainees Abdul Hadi Khawaja and Sheikh Hassan Mushaima are now close to death and the Bahraini authorities still refuse to release them or give them some of their rights," Sheikh Qaouk referred.
