US Delegation Tours North Lebanon, Monitors Borders with Syria

A six-personnel US delegation, led by US Congressman Joseph Lieberman, arrived in Lebanon on Wednesday, and directly headed to north Lebanon to "tour" the northern Lebanese-Syrian borders.
Accompanied by Lebanese Army brigades and personnel from the Lebanese Security Forces, the delegation's tour started at 7:00 am at Wadi Khaled, from where they took a look at all authorized and unauthorized border crossings.
After the tour, the US Congressman held a meeting at former head of Muqaibleh Municipality's house Mahmoud Khazal, in presence of Syrian immigrant families.
Following Wadi Khaled, the delegation headed towards many villages, towns, and roads along the Lebanese-Syrian borderline, and then ended the tour at 10:00 am before heading towards Tripoli.
