The follow up committee of the "Lebanese National Parties, Forces, and Figures" criticized the "suspicious" visit of the US delegation, led by US Assistant Secretary of State of Near Eastern Affairs, Jeffrey Feltman. In a statement, the committee referred to Feltman's branded role "to sow incitement, conspiracies and conflict against the resistance and opposition forces."

The committee denounced the visit of US-Zionist personnel, Joseph Lieberman, to the northern Lebanese-Syrian borderline, during which he slammed the Syrian regime and supported the armed terrorist groups in Syria. On this level, the committee affirmed in its statement that [Lieberman's step] represents a blatant violation of Lebanon's national sovereignty.

Furthermore, the follow-up committee believed that "the US sent Feltman to Lebanon to pressure the Lebanese government into lessening the security measures on Lebanese borders and ports."
This comes after it [the US] failed to achieve its goals by toppling the resisting regime in Syria, and after it sensed pressure surrounding its NATO forces in the region.
Also, the committee noted that Feltman was sent to express support to the March 14 Forces, who suffer the repercussions of their falling bets to change the balance of power [in the region].
