Raad: Lebanon’s Strength in Resisting ’’Israel’’, Syrian Rebels to Destroy Syria

The head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc MP Mohammad Raad stressed Sunday that "those who are responsible for the suspension of the government's work in this period are the ones who are putting sticks in the ministerial wheels."
During a ceremony in the celebration of Sayyeda Fatima's (pbuh) birthday, Raad wondered "for what side are these working? Are they working for internal maliciousness or foreign commitments?"
The MP further acknowledged that "there is a commotion among some Lebanese parties that has no justification but nervousness, racism, spitefulness and ignorance."
"We call these sides to calm down their revolt and agitation because as Lebanese, we must arrange our country's issues based on understanding and consensus," Raad said.
The MP also highlighted that "differences between us are solvable if we agree on an essential issue; that "Israel" threatens us all and that the country's strength lies in resisting the "Israeli" occupier."
On the internal political scene, the MP viewed "we all need to ensure Lebanon's stability and civil peace, which should lead us to reach a solution on the electoral law...and extra governmental spending."
Raad, commenting on the Syrian developments confirmed "Hizbullah called not to interfere in the Syrian crisis out of its keenness on Lebanon's stability, security and its interests," pointing out that "the armed rebels' performance reflect that they neither want to topple the regime nor acquire reform."
"They rather want to topple Syria as a state and institutions. They want a civil war that overthrows Syria's position as a steadfast and resistant country against "Israel"," he stressed.
The Head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc warned that "the Syrian rebels' acts aim at subjecting the Arab region," wondering "what kind of opposition is that which kills its own people through suicide attacks or car bombs."
Raad also cautioned those who smuggle arms to Syrian militants through the Lebanese borders, whether land or sea water and land that "they are contributing to ignite a civil war that may, God forbid, extend to Lebanon."
