In remarks to "as-Safir" Lebanese daily, Berri stated that "these weapons were used in real battles that terrorized people."
"This type of absurd weapon constitutes a threat to civil peace and the political life," the speaker confirmed.
He further highlighted that "these weapons are dangerous unlike the resistance arms which will not be used at any internal scene."

"The resistance rockets are to confront "Israel" and can't be used in any other field," Berri reiterated.
The Speaker addressed March 14 forces, particularly the Future Movement, by asking: "What will the owners of the theory "No proportionality [electoral law] under the threat of weapons say after the recent developments?"
"The subsequent incidents in Akkar and Beirut proved the correctness of my call to an urgent dialogue table," Berri stressed.

In the same context, Berri expressed to "ad-Diyar" daily his "deep concern about the dangers stemming from what is happening in Lebanon, especially if this madness in the streets continues."
On the political level, Berri said that " Lebanon will not relinquish the policy of dissociating itself from the Syrian crisis regardless of the internal and external pressure that are being applied."

The Speaker further commented on the warnings issued by some Arab countries against traveling to Lebanon.
"We hope that these moves would be limited and not go beyond applying pressure on Lebanon to change its policy of dissociation toward the Syrian events," he added.
