Qahwaji: North Lebanon Events Confirm Bet on Army to Conceal Sedition, Impose Stability

Lebanese Army Commander, General Jean Qahwaji, confirmed that "no one is allowed to abandon one grain of our national soil, or one drop of our waters and natural resources."
"No one is allowed to abuse the security and dignity of citizens," Qahwaji asserted during a command recited Wednesday to military troops on the 12th anniversary of Resistance and Liberation Day.
He further warned against exploiting the democratic climate and general freedoms embraced in Lebanon.
Also, he rebuffed taking advantage of crises storming across the Arab region, in a bid to destroy the state pillars, tear apart the national unity, and target the country's interests and its generations' destiny.
Furthermore, General Qahwaji asserted, "Both tasks of defending and [maintaining] security, complete each other in a way that maintains national sovereignty and the country's higher interests."
On this level Lebanese Army Commander reiterated, "The events in North [Lebanon] once again confirmed everyone's bet on the army's role to conceal sedition and impose stability."
