Mufti Qabbani Denounces Abduction of Lebanese, Calls for “Rescue” Dialogue Sessions
As he arrived in Beirut's International Airport after a visit to Russia and Kuwait, Mufti Qabbani called upon all parties to respond to Lebanese President Michel Suleiman's appeal for dialogue. He affirmed that they won't be normal dialogue sessions, but should be rescuing dialogue sessions that ought to put disputes aside, and should revolve around "protecting Lebanon and the Lebanese".
Regarding the issue of the Lebanese abductees in Syria, Mufti Qabbani believed that "the abduction will have negative repercussions on the internal Lebanese situation."

"The kidnappers, whatever their affiliation was, and no matter what side they were with, should take into consideration that this kidnapping is not an ethical operation in wars, even if it was similar [retaliation], because the innocent are not involved in ongoing conflicts," Mufti Qabbani iterated.
Also, the Lebanese Mufti expected that Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati's discussions in Turkey would lead to good and position results soon.

On another hand, Qabbani clarified that he discussed with Kuwaiti officials options to help Syrian refugees in Lebanon, noting that "Kuwait will present, through the relief and humanitarian aid committee at the Dar al-Fatwa in Lebanon, its help to the Syrian refugees."
