Lebanese Minister of Environment, Nazem Khoury, believed that Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's suggestion to hold a national conference, complies with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman's appeal to carry on the feat of the dialogue committee soon.

"However, I believe that bringing this committee together [as a] first [step], could lead to convening a national constitutional conference," Minister Khoury affirmed.
He further clarified that "holding a broad national conference means looking into many headings and issues," indicating that "If we broadened the headings in light of current division circumstances, then we might not reach any result."

In an interview with as-Safir newspaper, Minister Khoury stated that the aim of the dialogue committee is to look into common divisors, and if it succeeds, then it could be the base of holding a national constitutional conference.
Lebanese Minister of Environment added that the national dialogue is ought to discuss many issues, including reevaluating the Taeb accord, and the possibility of amending some of its articles, in order to promote stability and equilibrium between institutions in Lebanon.
