Muslim Scholars Gathering: Lebanese Parties Should Adhere to Sayyed Nasrallah’s Plea on National Dialogue

The Muslim Scholars' Gathering in Lebanon called upon all the Lebanese parties to positively adhere to Hizbullah Secretary General, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's appeal, in which he called for holding a national constitutional conference.
On this level, the gathering confirmed that Sayyed Nasrallah's appeal helps Lebanon and its citizens out of the current political, economic, and social crisis, and further believed that "the Taef accord was never implemented so that we say that this appeal is a coup against it [the Taef]," with reference to some rhetoric opposing Sayyed Nasrallah's plea.
Referring to the electoral law in Lebanon, the Muslim Scholars Gathering stated that this law never presented true representations, and so Lebanon needs an agreement in this regard, without taking into account personal interests.
"However, the type of law and its details need a political decision that would be resulted through such a conference [constitutional conference]," the gathering added in its statement.
Also, the gathering went on to stress the importance of this conference, as it would be a door to discuss many issues including dealing with the Zionist entity, and how treason is tackled, and reiterated Lebanon's need to the army, people, and resistance formula.
