The Lebanese shepherd Youssef Mohamed Zahra was abducted Friday by the "Israeli" army near the Southern area of Shebaa Farms, while he was grazing his flock in the region.

A statement by the Lebanese Army Orientation Directorate slammed the abduction of a Lebanese national by "Israeli" forces as a direct and blatant violation of Lebanese dominion.

"Zahra was kidnapped at 15:15 Friday by an "Israeli" infantry patrol near Marj Teiss locality, inside Lebanon," the National News Agency stated.
It further learned that "communications are underway by both Lebanese Army and United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon for the release of the Lebanese citizen."
""Israel" ambushed the shepherd inside the Lebanese territories, 20 meters into the northern border line," the agency said.

For his part, Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour condemned "Israeli" enemy's abduction of the Lebanese shepherd in a liberated area near the occupied Shabaa Farms.
"Such a subversive act constitutes a flagrant violation of UN Resolution 1701," Minister Mansour said.
