MP Moussawi: What Resistance Sacrificed for Will Not be Neglected
Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Nawwaf Moussawi stressed that "protecting Lebanon isn't achieved through submitting [to the enemy], but through expanding the defense power," with reference to Hizbullah's efforts in meeting this need.
MP Moussawi referred to what some newspapers discussed in relation to a "Lebanese ignorant political team that bets on a Zionist aggression" before the parliamentary elections, in order to get rid of the resistance weapons.
On this level, he confirmed, "We have sacrificed a lot in order to liberate great parts of our country and to defend it. We are not ready to dispose of our country, people, and government which should be established on the basis of justice, power and capability. Those who think that they can blackmail the resistance to change its course or restrain its weapons are delusional."
"What we sacrificed for will not be neglected, [...] we will never slack in increasing the resistance's arming and training capabilities. It [the resistance] will transform the idea of an "Israeli" aggression on Lebanon to a nightmare that no "Israeli" military or political leader would dare to think of," MP Moussawi iterated.
"We heard at the dialogue table some parties that praised the resistance's sacrifices right until the 2000, after which they believed that the resistance's weapon lost its legitimacy," Moussawi recalled.
In this context, he stressed that "the resistance weapon's legitimacy is not derived from a political stance of any politician, party or parliamentary bloc. It is a right to defend against aggressions, and this right does not need a constitution or law, because it is based in the human instinct."
He further indicated that "the resistance's weapon derives its legitimacy from its usefulness as it is the only successful way that liberated the land."
Moreover, Moussawi asserted that all the Lebanese should be aware that an "Israeli" aggression on Lebanon is not linked to only one party or another, but it is the essence of the Zionist entity's nature; which is an expanding, aggressive and racist nature.
Also, Moussawi stressed that the issue will be circulated to all platforms, asserting, "We will remain insistent on the national and Islamic unity, and that this is our nation which we had sacrificed for, and nothing will prevent us from following this path."
"We thank God that there are some parties which are shedding the light on the aggression against Lebanon in 2010, that went on till 2011; displayed through the Cypriot-"Israeli" agreement to demarcate the economic zone between Cyprus and the Zionist entity," the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP added.
He indicated, "By virtue of this agreement, the 3 dimensional zones in our Lebanese [territorial waters] are more than 18 Km in length; which means that "Israel" claims it owns at least 860 Km squared of the oil-rich economic zone."
"Does anyone refer to this aggression on Lebanon and ask what should be done to restore this oil and gas-rich zone?" Moussawi wondered.
He also believed that when a government with a nature contradicting co-existence was responsible, it acted in a unilateral way away from national consensus; and gave the "Israeli" enemy a chance to expand its aggression on Lebanon's rights and resources.
