Secretary General of the opposition's National Democratic Assembly in Bahrain Fadel Abbas reiterated that "money is being collected in Bahrain for terrorism in Syria."

In an interview with Iran's al-Alam TV, Abbas stated, "Some Bahrainis who went to Syria and got killed by the Syrian Army must have had someone who facilitated this mission for them," adding, "The Bahraini preachers present in Syria provoke young men to enlist in al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front in the war on Syria."

"All these events happen with the regime's knowledge, and there are official statements issued by a number of parliamentary members that call for terrorism in Syria and illegally crossing into a neighboring country like Syria. Since the regime did not act, then it is an accomplice and gives an implied Okay to these men to join the fight in Syria," Abbas stressed.

"The Bahraini regime will terribly regret this matter in the future because when the terrorists in Syria return to Bahrain, they will pose a catastrophe on the regime just like in Afghanistan," he noted.
