Syrian Army Fails Infiltration into al-Quseir, Conducts Successful Operations in Provinces

The Syrian Army, conducting many operations in several provinces, was able to destroy equipment and weaponry of armed terrorist groups, especially al-Nusra Front or those affiliated to it.

Also, the Syrian Army foiled on Sunday a terrorist attempt to infiltrate al-Quseir from Lebanon, injuring several militants.

An official source told SANA [Syrian Arab News Agency] that a number of terrorists were killed in al-Quseir while the rest were obliged to flee to Lebanese territories.

Also, a military source stated that a number of terrorists were killed in al-Bouida al-Sharqia in al-Qseir's countryside and their weapons and ammunitions were destroyed.

Moreover, the Syrian Army had inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in a series of operations carried out in Homs's countryside, SANA mentioned.

A source in Homs province told SANA that among the killed terrorists were Khaled Othman, the leader of the so-called "Andan Oqla Battalion" terrorist group, Abdul-Min'em Dyab, the leader of the so-called "al-Mout Battalion" terrorist group, Abdul-Hadi Meznazi, the leader of the so-called "al-Ansar and al-Sharia " terrorist group which is affiliated to al-Nusra Front, and Abdul-Rahman Barakat, the leader of the so-called "al-Tasleeh battalion" terrorist group.

Furthermore, a military source stated that the Syrian army had restored security and stability to the towns of al-Hamra, al-Lala, al-Rabi'a, al-Rahyeh, Tebat al-Ism, al-Sha'fa, al-Talesyeh, al-Qahira, Ras al-Ein, al-Zu'ba, Qasr al-Mukharam, Qasr Abu Samra and Um Khazem in Hama's northern countryside.

Meanwhile, units of the armed forces killed and injured many al-Nusra Front insurgents, most of which are non-Syrian, in a series of special operations that aimed at their gatherings in Damascus's countryside.

SANA reported that the Army was successful in terminating the leader of the so-called "Capital's Shield Brigade", Hisham Shalla, a number of the group's members and cars on Damascus-Homs road in Harasta area.

On a similar note, an army unit killed numbers of terrorists on Sunday and destroyed two weapon caches belonging to them during operations in Idleb countryside.

Also, Army units carried out a series of operations targeting terrorist hideouts in the villages of Shurouq and al-Khadra'a in Lattaka countryside, destroying the hideouts with the terrorists inside.
