Extremist settlers set fire to over 50 acres of Palestinian fields in the northern West Bank on Monday, a Palestinian Authority official said.

’Israeli’ Settlers Escalate Attacks on Palestinians According to information, extremists of Yitzhar settlement torched fields in the Khallat al-Injas neighborhood of Madama, and the fire spread to adjacent fields owned by Burin villagers, said Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities.
Five acres of wheat fields were destroyed in the fire, Daghlas stated.
In parallel, Palestinian fire service officials on Monday said about 1,000 almond and olive trees were torched.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian farmer was shot and injured by Israeli fire while he was picking watermelons in Abu Safiyeh neighborhood east of Jabalia, northern Gaza.
Ahmad Hamdin, 21, sustained an injury to his thigh and was evacuated to the Kamal Udwan Hospital in Jabalia, northern Gaza, medics said.

In response, the "Israeli" army confirmed the injury and claimed that several Palestinians had "attempted to damage" the border fence between Gaza and the Zionist entity.

Similarly, Palestinian taxi driver Naim Alayan revealed that he was stabbed by two "Israelis" he was taxing around al-Quds.
In details, the two asked to be driven to the city center, and on the way instructed the driver to go into a side alley while they put knife to his throat. During the struggle, the driver was injured.

On another level, the "Israeli" occupation forces rounded up 38 Palestinian boys in the West Bank and occupied al-Quds over the last two weeks of the past month of May.

A report by the child department in Ramallah on Monday said that "Israel" had recently escalated its targeting of Palestinian kids.
Official statistics indicated that 246 Palestinian children are held in "Israeli" jails with 47 of them under 16 years old.

The report noted that dozens of Palestinian children were wounded during peace marches at the hands of soldiers and settlers.
