Syrian Army announced Saturday that its forces have retaken the village of Eastern Bweida from armed groups.


All of al-Qseir Countryside Free from Militants: Eastern Bweida in Army’s HandsThis comes four days after the al-Qseir strategic town fell under the Syrian Army's control.

"Our heroic troops have restored safety and security in Eastern Bweida," the Syrian state TV said.

The village was the last area under the control of the armed groups in al-Qseir area.

Meanwhile, Syrian media and opposition activists say a car bomb has exploded in the central city of Homs, causing casualties.
Al-Ikhbariya TV said the Saturday blast in the city's southern al-Nozah neighborhood was a suicide bomb. It reported casualties but did not give a number.

Earlier, Syrian army units restored security and stability to al-Masudieh and al-Salhieh villages in al-Qseir countryside.
An official source told SANA reporter that units of our armed forces are continuing their missions in pursuing the terrorists' remnants and inspecting operations.

The units dismantled a number of improvised explosive devices were planted by terrorists in the two villages.

A military source said that the army is searching the farms of al-Husseinyeh and al-Dumaineh al-Sharqyeh as to clean them of terrorists.
The source said that the army destroyed weapons and ammunition while they were transported to al-Houla and Hur Binafsouh areas.
