’Israel’ Martyrs Palestinian Youth

A Palestinian man was martyred Tuesday morning from injuries sustained after midnight when he was struck down by an "Israeli" military vehicle in the Dura city in the southern West Bank district of al-Khalil.
A Palestinian security source clarified that the military vehicle deliberately hit Muatazz Idreis Sharawnah, 19, during clashes between "Israeli" occupation forces and young Palestinian men in the city.
Locals said "Israelis" impeded the access of Palestinian Red Crescent Association paramedics when they attempted to reach Sharawnah to offer emergency care and evacuate him to hospital.
Medics from al-Khalil's public hospital declared Sharawnah dead on Tuesday morning.
Locals said Sharawnah was a student at the Palestinian Authority Military Academy in Jericho.
An "Israel" military spokeswoman confirmed an incident in the village, but claimed that soldiers had fired at a youth "who had climbed onto a military vehicle".
"Overnight there was an activity in Dura village near al-Khalil and a group of Palestinians began hurling rocks at the security forces who were in the area," she stated.
