Millions of Iranians took to the streets in all Iranian cities across the country on the International Quds Day to voice support for the Palestinian nation against the Zionist regime.

Iran Marks Al-Quds Day, Rowhani: Zionist Entity An Inflicted Wound that must Be CleansedIranians across the country, including in the capital Tehran, alongside other people around the world are holding massive anti-"Israel" rallies on the last Friday of Ramadan in opposition to the continued occupation of the Palestinian land by the Zionist entity.

Iran's president-elect Sheikh Hassan Rowhani confirmed "Israel" was a foreign body that must be removed, and also cast doubt on efforts to revive peace talks with the Palestinian Authority.

"After all, in our region, there's been a wound for years on the body of the Muslim world under the shadow of the occupation of the holy land of Palestine and the beloved [city of] al-Quds," Rohani stated at the rally.

"International Quds Day, which is the legacy of Imam Khomeini, is a day to demonstrate the unity of the Muslim world and resistance against oppression and aggression," the Iranian president-elect said.

Rohani further described the occasion as "a reminder that Muslims will never forget their historic right to resist oppression and aggression."
"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to respond to the distorted reports, saying Rohani had "revealed his true face by making anti-"Israeli" comments."

Similarly, the outgoing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also addressed the Iranian people.

"I will inform you with God as my witness, a devastating storm is on the way that will uproot the basis of Zionism," Ahmadinejad told crowds at annual al-Quds Day rallies.

""Israel" has no place in this region", he added, and noted that "the idea that Palestine problem can be solved through talks and dividing a land is a wishful thinking."

Ahmadinejad then regretted that the arrogant states set friendship with the Zionists as the yardstick of friendship among countries.
"The criterion of the arrogant states friendship with the world countries is the countries friendly link with the Zionist regime. Which sort of features does the Zionist regime have that compel the western arrogant states to set the precondition for their friendship with more than 200 countries on their friendship with the regime?" he wondered.

The International Quds Day was started by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, His Eminence Imam Khomeini, in 1979 as a way of expressing solidarity with the Palestinians and underscoring importance of the holy Quds to Muslims.
Demonstrators unanimously condemn Zionists' crimes in the Palestinian occupied lands.

The fasting people carrying placards chant 'Down with the US' and 'Down with the Israel' and other anti-Zionist slogans.

Demonstrators also voice the Iranian nation's readiness to defend the ideals of Palestine and remove the cancerous tumor from the face of the world.
They also shout their protest against the silence shown by the international community and the so-called advocates of human rights against the crimes committed in the occupied lands.
