US Congressman Stresses Need of Talks with Iran in Letter
Local Editor
US Democrat congressman David Price stated that a number of representatives from both Democratic and Republican parties are in favor of talks with Iran.
A bipartisan letter that circulated in the US Congress urged US President Barack Obama to kick off talks with Iran.
Price led the members who approved this letter, which gained 131 signatures, advocating renewal of talks with Iran's new presidency.
He reiterated that it would be a big mistake if the Obama administration did not seize the opportunity of resolving concerns regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear program after the new Iranian president Hassan Rohani stepped into office on August 5.
Moreover, Price pointed out that the letter showed bipartisan support for diplomacy towards Iran.
