Iranian Defense Minister Says There is Plot to Weaken Resistance in Lebanon

The Iranian Defense Minister Hussein Dehghan expressed his disappointment in the terrorist acts in Lebanon, especially the explosion that took place in the Southern Suburbs of Beirut, also known as Dahyieh, which led to scores of martyrs and injuries.
Dehghan noted that there are indications to execute an intricate and elaborate plot affected by the developments in Syria in order to sow religious and sectarian strife among peoplem weaken the resistance front against the "Israeli" entity, and strike security in Lebanon.

A terrorist explosion rocked Roweis area of the southern Suburb of Beirut on Thursday, resulting in the martyrdom of 17 citizens, the injury of 270 others in addition to major damage in buildings and cars.
The Lebanese army confirmed the explosion was a car bomb, which caused severe damage. Plumes of smoke filled the sky, while hundreds of civilians from the neighborhood gathered to help fire fighters put out the flames. Glass of nearby buildings was shattered.
A wired car also targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut on June 9 in the Beir al-Abed street adjacent to the Roweis area, injuring around 53 people when it exploded in a parking lot of the Islamic Cooperation Center.
