Lebanon to File Complaint against ’Israel’ Over al-Naameh Attack

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman appointed on Friday caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour to file an urgent complaint to the UN Security Council against the recent "Israeli" attack on al-Naameh early Friday.
"The border violations must be resolved by UNIFIL's (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) investigation committee and not by aggression or violating the sovereignty [of Lebanon]," Suleiman said.
Earlier on Friday, the "Israeli" air force targeted a site located between Beirut and Sidon in response to a barrage of four rockets launched at the northern occupied Palestinian lands on Thursday, according to the military.
An official with the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command told that the region some 15 kilometers south of Beirut, was hit in the air strike.

The Front's spokesman in Lebanon, Abu Imad Ramez Mustafa confirmed that the "Israeli" aim of this strike is to sew sectarian discord between the Lebanese and the Palestinians.
He further detailed that "at 4:00 AM, the enemy hit our bases with one missile. However, there were no causalities."
For his part, Mansour slated the attack, confirming that the Lebanon would file a complaint to the UN.
"Any violation of UN Security Council resolution 1701 should be dealt with through the UNIFIL and by a direct attack on Lebanon's sovereignty," Mansour mentioned in a statement.
"Israel" claimed the attack was in retaliation for Thursday's rocket from Lebanon into the Zionist entity.
The attack came a day after four rockets hit the northern occupied Palestinian lands of Naharayya and Akka.
The rockets that were launched from the southern region of Tyr, hit Naharayya and Akka in a non-residential area and caused no casualties.
The Abdullah Azzam Brigades, an al-Qaeda group which claimed similar rocket fire on "Israel" in 2009 and 2011, claimed responsibility for the firing.
