Imam Khamenei Hopes US New Approach towards Syria Serious

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has expressed hope that the new US approach towards Syria is serious and not a political game.

"If this is so, it means a change in the arbitrary and wrong US approach of the past few weeks" Ayatollah Khamenei said on Wednesday.

The Leader added that the Islamic Republic carefully and vigilantly follows the developments in the Middle East region.

Ayatollah Khamenei urged Muslims to remain vigilant in the face of the plots hatched by ill-wishers to create religious disputes and conflicts, saying, "The enemies of the Islamic Ummah have realized that conflict among Islamic denominations is in the interest of the occupying Zionist regime [of Israel]."

"Therefore by creating Takfiri groups, on the one hand, and creating seemingly Islamic and even Shia media, on the other hand, [they] are trying to foster conflict among Muslaid hegemonic powers stop at nothing in pursuit of their interests.

"Domineering forces and superpowers, particularly the US, believe in no limits for ruining countries and killing people in order to assert their illegal interests."
