Former deputy speaker: Nasrallah speech did not encourage war
Source: Nowlebanon, 22-2-2008
Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's speech at the commemoration of the party's martyrs "introduced a definition of ‘open war' different from that which some tried to use so as to move the international community against the resistance in Lebanon," former Deputy Speaker Elie Ferzli told nowlebanon.com.
Nasrallah's speech was came in the context of self-defense, Ferzli continued, pointing out that "Israel" had "changed the rules of the game by assassinating Hajj Imad Mognieh," a top Hizbullah official assassinated earlier this month in Damascus.
He stressed that Nasrallah's speech did not encourage "Israel" to wage war, but established a "balance of terror" with "Israel".
