Syrian Presidential Political and Media Advisor , Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban, stressed that the Syrian government will go to the international conference on Syria in Geneva in an attempt to use the international decision to stop violence and terrorism in Syria, also to reach a political agreement among all the Syrians without any foreign custody.

In an interview with Russia Today TV on Tuesday, Dr. Shaaban said that Syria has agreed to go to Geneva without preconditions.
Explaining the problem, she said "some sides are promoting the idea of transitional authority only because these sides created this idea and this kind of opposition, which is affiliated to external sides and it is unknown who it really represents."
Shaaban moreover stated that the Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faysal has no right to talk on behalf of the Syrian people, adding that the "Coalition" is only a front for the Saudi intelligence, questioning "Who does the coalition represent? Is it al-Qaeda or al-Nusra Front?".
"If you ask the UN it will tell you that there is more than 1,000 sides in Syria, some of which are opposition and the others are of the so-called armed opposition. What we have in Syria are Al Qaeda and Jabhat al-Nusra. Maybe there are other opposition forces, but we are interested in Syria's future and integrity of its lands," Shaaban said.
She stressed that the Syrian government is a legitimate and elected government that represents the Syrian people and has the right to act in accordance with the real interests of the Syrians.
