Terrorist Suicide Bomb Kills At Least 4 in Lebanon’s Hermel

A car bombing in northeastern city of Hermel Saturday killed at least four people and wounded 20 others,according to security sources.

The attack took place in the Zahraa area of the city.

"An explosion was heard near al-Mabarrat school which is located in the main road at the entrance of Hermel," the state-run National News Agency said.

According to the reports, the explosion took place near al-Aytam petrol station in the town.

Ambulance cars rushed to the site of the explosion as thick flames were seen.

Meanwhile, al-Manar television said several people were either killed or wounded in the bombing that targeted the Bekaa town. "The suicide bomber drove his vehicle - a Grand Cherokee Jeep - up to a petrol station in the Zahraa area of the city."

In parallel, a total destruction was noticed at the site of the explosion and Cars went up in flames. Blaze erupted in the petrol tanks of the neighboring gas station.

Caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel stated that a suicide bomber carried out the explosion using a Grand Cherokee car.

The suicide bomber drove his vehicle - a Grand Cherokee Jeep - up to a petrol station in the Zahraa area of the city where he then proceeded to detonate it
