Reports say that the airstrikes came hours after a blast in the "Israeli"- occupied Golan Heights which left four "Israeli" soldiers wounded.
According to the "Israeli" Prime Ministry spokesperson, Ofir Gendelman, the Zionist air force hit several targets in the occupied Golan heights, describing these as ‘four Syrian military posts'.

Immediately after the explosion, "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tel Aviv would act forcefully to "preserve "Israel's" security."

For his part, Zionist War Minister Moshe Ya'alon also stated "We hold the Assad regime responsible for what happens in its territory and if it continues to collaborate with terrorists striving to hurt "Israel" then we will keep on exacting a heavy price from it and make it regret its actions".

He went on to say that "Israel" will not tolerate any violation of its sovereignty and harm its soldiers and citizens, and we will respond with determination and strength to all who will work against us".

"Israel" has been blatantly meddling in Syria. In February, an unnamed "Israeli" commander admitted that Tel Aviv was in contact with the foreign-backed militant and groups in Syria.
Reports have shown that hundreds of injured terrorists have returned to Syria after receiving medical treatment at "Israeli" hospitals.
