Tehran - Moscow Cooperation Improves Region

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the cooperation between Iran and Russia will lead to stability and security in the region.
Rouhani stressed, during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in China, on the necessity of strengthening bilateral cooperation for the sake of a secure region.
"Russia is not merely a neighbor which has a deep history of relations with Iran, and certainly the development of cooperation and partnership between the two countries will pave the way for a secure region," Rouhani said.
For his part, Putin said that the two countries shoulder a heavy responsibility to spread security and development in the region, describing the two countries as neighbors and reliable partners.
The meeting came as the fourth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia [CICA] was held in Shanghai, China.
