Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, warned that the threats posed by the Takfiri groups will eventually backfire on their regional supporters, as he said during a meeting in the Iranian city of Tehran on Monday.

"Unfortunately, some regional countries are not aware of the danger that these Takfiri groups will pose to them in the future and continue supporting these groups," Imam Khamenei said.
He said that certain regional states are currently backing the crimes and carnage perpetrated by the Takfiri groups in Syria and elsewhere, while saying, "but in the not-too-distant future, these groups will turn against their very supporters, which will, at last, have to destroy the groups at a very high cost."
Moreover, Imam Khamenei noted that proximity and good relations among countries will benefit the whole region while animosity will only please their common enemies.
He said that the Zionist regime dares to do shameless behavior due to the absence of good relations among the regional countries and that Iran has always been dealing with regional countries with tolerance.
He stated that Iran has always sought "healthy relations" with its Persian Gulf littoral neighbors, saying that, "The security of this region is contingent upon healthy and good ties among all regional states."
He said that ground is prepared for further promotion of economic cooperation between the two countries, adding that, "A new chapter should be opened in Iran-Kuwait economic ties."
For his part, the Kuwaiti emir voiced his country's readiness to open a new chapter in its economic relations with Iran, saying that Tehran and Kuwait City agreed to upgrade mutual economic and trade cooperation during his trip to Tehran.
He also expressed hope that the conflict in Syria will be resolved through peaceful means and based on the Syrian nation's will.
