Syrian Forces Kill Up to 40 Saudi, Qatari, Jordanian Insurgents

Syrian troops have killed 40 armed insurgents from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Jordan in the Damascus suburb of al-Qanitra in Syria, a Syrian military source has revealed according to El-Nashra newspaper on Monday.
In an interview published by El-Nashra newspaper on Monday, the military source as was cited as saying that the intruding militants were killed when positions of armed opposition groups were ambushed by Syrian army units.
The Syrian source reiterated that all those killed in the operation were Qatari, Saudi and Jordanian nationals.
Syrian government troops have been inflicting heavy strikes on foreign-backed militant groups in different areas across the country.
The country has been gripped by deadly unrest by militant groups since 2011.
