Clashes between "Israeli" police and Palestinian
protesters spread to occupied West Bank on Saturday following the funeral of 16-year-old Muhammad Abu Khdeir, where initial autopsy findings showed he was burned alive as Palestinians believe he was kidnapped and killed by "Israelis."
Protests erupted in occupied east al-Quds and spread to towns in occupied West Bank on Saturday, police spokeswoman Luba Samri said.
More than 20 people were arrested by the "Israeli" police during the protests.
On Friday, Attorney-general Muhammad Abd al-Ghani Uweili said Abu Khdeir's autopsy showed soot in the victim's lungs and respiratory tract, indicating he was alive and breathing while he was being burnt.
"The direct cause of death was burns as a result of fire and its complications," A'wewy was quoted as saying.
Abu Khdeir also had a head injury, but died from complications as a result of being burnt, Uweili added.
A final autopsy will be released later, he said.
Burns covered 90 percent of the surface of the body. The head suffered a cut. Samples like liquids and tissues were taken for more lab examinations to complete the legal medical report.
Palestinians say "Israelis" kidnapped and killed Abu Khdeir, whose body was found early Wednesday in a forest in occupied al-Quds.
The murder is thought to be a revenge attack in response to the kidnapping and killing of three Zionists who were allegedly kidnapped on June 12 and later found dead.
