Lieberman: Each ’Israel’ War Operation Strengthens Hamas
Local Editor
"Israeli" Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Tuesday that in the wake of so-called "Operation Protective Edge," Hamas has gotten politically and militarily stronger in each counter-"terror" campaign.
Speaking at the World Summit for Counter-"Terrorism" held in Herzliya in occupied Palestine, Lieberman admitted that "Israel" War Forces operations in the seized Gaza Strip have only encouraged Hamas.
"The last operation, [so-called] "Protective Edge," was the third operation against Hamas, and in all three cases it survived," he said.
Lieberman further admitted the expanding military capabilities of Hamas, saying that: "If the range of the rockets in the first operation [2008-2009 Cast Lead] was 15 kilometers towards Sderot, in [2012] Pillar of "Defense" they already reached the edges of Tel Aviv and Rishon Letzion."
"Now the rockets have already gone past Hadera," said Lieberman, referring to a northern town near Haifa located 165 kilometers [102 miles] from seized Gaza that was targeted by Hamas in the recent aggression.
He added: "There's more explosives in the rockets," saying that, "The danger isn't only in [rocket] range - in each campaign like this the organization is strengthened politically."
"According to the polls, Hamas became the most popular among the Palestinian population, said Lieberman, referencing a poll conducted in seized Gaza, Judea and Samaria.
