"Israel's" army chief admitted on Monday that the Hamas resistance fighters fought courageously against the "Israel" War Forces during the recent military aggression on seized Gaza.

"We must be honest and say that we fought against brave men," Gantz said during a discussion with "Israel" War Forces soldiers, Channel 2 News reported.

"To run up and try to put an explosive charge upon a tank is the act of courageous people," he added.

Gantz meanwhile added that the "Israeli" military was keeping a close watch on Hamas in order to effectively prepare for another potential round of violence.

"Israel" unleashed brutal attacks on seized Gaza in early July and later expanded its military aggression with a ground invasion into the area. Over 2,130 Palestinians lost their lives and some 11,000 were injured, whereby Gaza Health officials said the victims included 578 children.
