"Israeli" forces demolished several buildings in the village of Umm al-Kheir in al-Khalil district in the occupied West Bank on Monday, locals said.

"Israeli" forces and bulldozers demolished four houses, steel structures, and a public bakery in the village, a local resident said.

The bakery had been demolished several times before, the resident said.

A spokeswoman for COGAT, the "Israeli" war ministry unit responsible for civil administration in the Palestinian Territories, did not answer calls seeking further details.

Some 27,000 Palestinian homes and structures have been demolished by "Israel" since it occupied the West Bank in 1967.
