Imam Khamenei: Islamic Unity Iran’s Main Slogan

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has asserted on Tuesday that the Islamic unity is the main slogan of Iran and that this means that cooperation, not antagonism rules the relations between the Muslim countries.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran favors unity among world Muslims.

During his meeting with Hajj [pilgrimage] officials in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Tuesday, Imam Khamenei said that the pilgrimage is the best means of encountering the enemies' attempts to separate between Iran and the Islamic world.

His Eminence advised officials in charge of Hajj rituals to help augment people's knowledge, address their spiritual needs and strongly deal with the smear propaganda campaign of enemies of Islam.

The enemies of the Muslim world try to build a wall between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the rest of the Islamic world, said the Imam.

Therefore, Imam Khaemeni added, the Hajj ceremony is a suitable opportunity to destroy the wrong concepts and beliefs propagated by the enemies.

Unity among world Muslims is of prime importance, underlined His Eminence.

Islamic unity is among the principled mottos of the Islamic Revolution, His Emincence said, adding that it means the Islamic Ummah should avoid enmity and back each other in dealing with global developments.

All should help remove the wall created by the enemies with an aim of separating Iran from other parts of the Muslim world, Imam Khamenei said, advising that all should do their best to remove such a hurdle. To attain this goal, Hajj rituals is the best opportunity, His Eminence said.
