Hizbullah issued the following statement:
Hizbullah Slams Bahraini Authorities Ban of Al-Wefaq
The Bahraini authorities have taken a serious repressive step represented by the Administrative Court's decision to ban al-Wefaq group's activities for three months.
This poses an escalation that is to exacerbate the internal tensions in the country.
In parallel, the move confirms that the elections which the Bahraini authorities intended to conduct are to be sham and known, away from the real representation of the Bahraini people's will, and its live powers.
This step confirms that the Bahraini ruling authorities aren't willing to take serious steps to resolve the intractable political crisis in the country.
It is further expected to leave various negative repercussions on the general political future of the country.
As Hizbullah condemns this repressive step, it views it as an inflammation to the authoritarian tendency that controls the Bahraini regime.
This decision comes also to show the Bahraini authorities' rejection to the natural choices for the people, and unexcused intransigence to respond to the rightful demands proposed by the leaders, opinion makers, scholars and popular movements in Bahrain.
