Imam Khamenei: Arrogant World Powers Failed to Bring Iran to Its Knees

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, confirmed Tuesday that "arrogant powers had tried hard to bring the Islamic Republic to its knees but had failed."
In a clear message of victory after the Western powers extended the talks to June 30, 2015, Imam Khamenei highlighted: "On the nuclear issue, the United States and European colonialist countries gathered and applied their entire efforts to bring the Islamic Republic to its knees but they could not and they will not."
The Imam's remarks came during a meeting with participants at the "The Dangers of Takfiri Currents From the Islamic Scholars' Perspective", that has been held over two days in the holy city of Qom.
"The current Takfiri current demonstrated the goals of arrogant powers, thus, turning the track of the anti-American Islamic awakening path to war between the Islamic symbols," he added.
