’Israel’ on Alert As two Rockets Hit Occupied Golan
Local Editor
At least two rockets fired from Syria hit the Occupied Golan Heights on Tuesday.
According to the "Israeli" army, there were no immediate reports of casualties on the "Israeli" side.
"Israeli" army spokesman Peter Lerner said in a text message the Syrian fire was "intentional, not spillover from the Syrian "civil" war" as has sometimes been the case in the past.
In parallel, "Israel" has deployed its Iron Dome missile system in the north of Occupied Palestine, where media say it is amassing tanks and infantry reinforcements.
The "Israeli" army said that after Tuesday's rocket attack it evacuated visitors from the Occupied Sheikh Mountain ["Hermon"] ski resort near the armistice line and security sources said farmers were told to leave their fields and go into bomb shelters.
Police said they had set up roadblocks to stop settlers from entering the area.
Meanwhile, an "Israeli" source told Ynet that the army "attacked the Syrian military launching pad and claimed that Hizbullah was responsible for the rocket fire."
However, he emphasized that "Israel" "sees Syrian as responsible for all fire emanating from its territory."
