Ya’alon: Hizbullah Doesn’t Need Tunnels to Infiltrate ’Israel’, Start A War
Local Editor
"Israeli" War minister Moshe Ya'alon tried Thursday to assure Zionist settlers in the North who are concerned that Hizbullah is digging underground tunnels into "Israel".
"We have been examining every single complaint by residents of the north who say they hear construction and drilling sounds underground, and so far we have found nothing. But if Hizbullah wants to infiltrate "Israel", they don't need tunnels," Ya'alon said.
This comes as the "Israeli" army said Thursday that it had resumed examinations of areas of northern "Israel" where settlers complained of hearing underground noises - some of which were very loud, and sounded very much like the sound of heavy drilling.
But Hizbullah has other tactics to drag "Israel" into a war, Ya'alon said - one of which was evident in Wednesday's attack.
"Hizbullah claims that this was a 'revenge' attack, and now that they have had their revenge things will calm down," he said.
In response to the criticisms that the targeted vehicle wasn't laminated, Yaalon said: "Even if it was laminated, we aren't not able to protect the soldiers from modern missile, Hizbullah had used."
