’Israel’ Fears Repercussions of Iran Nuke, Missiles Deals
Local Editor
Russia's decision to lift a ban on the sale of the advanced S-300 air defense system to Iran was a "direct result of the framework agreement reached in Lausanne," Zionist War Minister Moshe Ya'alon said Tuesday, referring to the recent nuclear agreement between the P5+1 and Tehran.
Ya'alon said that a storm is raging around "Israel" as it feared Iran would gain power after the Iran-Russia S-300 deal.
In addition, the war minister stated that Moscow's S-300 deal with Iran is "something we have been warning about even before the details [of the agreement] were concluded. It was clear, even then, that sanctions will be lifted, and that of course this will influence and strengthen the Iranian economy."
Meanwhile, Ya'alon accused Iran of continuing to arm elements around the Occupied Palestinian Territory, particularly Hizbullah in the North and the Houthis in Yemen.
At this level, the war minister was afraid that as Iran got hold of the missile system, it would arm its allies in the region.
"This issue was not discussed at all, and this is one of the biggest holes in the agreement. It is outside of the framework agreement, and this is certainly very disturbing. I hope that there will be time in the coming months to fix this," indicated the war minister.
Adding to what was mentioned, Ya'alon declared: "We continue to warn about the bad agreement that is developing with Iran, which does not include terrorism, missile components, or the military dimension of the Iranian nuclear project. Hence, we are against this bad agreement."
Further to the point, the Zionist media reported that should the Iranians receive the system any time soon, it would be operational very quickly - highlighting fears among "Israelis".
Moreover, the report added that it would not be farfetched to assume that some parts of the S-300 system [like radar or some of its controls] had already arrived in Iran, even if the launchers had yet to do so.
Still, the "Israelis" were reassuring themselves of the lengthy time between sale and delivery of the missile system to Iran which gave them ample time to prepare for its deployment in the Iranian context.
Henceforth, they presumed that the delivery of the missile systems to Iran would not hinder the Zionist state.
