Qalamoun Battle: Islamic Resistance, Syrian Army Seize al-Jobeh Outskirt - al-Nusra Retreats

The Islamic Resistance's Mujahidin and the Syrian Army Seized al-Jobeh outskirt in the Qalamoun area. Al-Ahed news website sources reported significant progress by the Mujahidin and the Syrian forces into the region after they had taken over Ard al-Moisrah and the entire Sahlet al-Moisrah, which was a militant training camp, in addition to Sahlat al-Watya.

Furthermore, Ahmad Ibrahim Masood the so-called "commander of al-Shaab brigade" of the "Free Army" in the Western part of Qalamoun and a number of insurgents were killed during the clashes while other terrorists fled.

The Syrian Army and the Resistance forces targeted al-Nusra Front base in al-Fatla crossing in Qalamoun's Ras al-Maarah with guided missiles and heavy artillery completely destroying it as well as killing and wounding its members.

Nonetheless, al-Ahed sources confirmed that a number of terrorist group's field officials were killed due to the clashes that took place; it named the following: Mohammed Kmod, Ali Hammoud and Mohammed Darwish of al-Sarkha town in addition to Mustafa Hammadi from Muadamiyat al-Sham, Hassan Idriss and Ihab Hammoud of Hosh Arab, as well as a number of al-Nusra Front militants.

The Syrian army and the Resistance forces had advanced, on Sunday, in al-Jobeh outskirt in Qalamoun after seizing over 40 square km; thereby, extending its control over half of the outskirt's space.

Moreover, both forces had destroyed three training camps in the outskirt, most importantly the infamous al-Moisrah camp after clashes that killed more than 20 al-Nusra militants while others fled.

Accordingly, Saturday's battles caused the destruction of a number of Takfiri bases located in caves and military tents as dozens of explosive devices and mines had been dismantled. Likewise, 4 military vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns had also been destroyed.

Henceforth, Kornet al-Moisrah and Talet Addawrat and Akabet Um Arrukab were among the hills of al-Jobeh outskirt that had been seized.

Consequently, clashes between al-Nusra Front and "ISIL" had been taking place at the borders of Ras al-Maarah outskirs and Arrahwa area to the east of the Lebanese Arsal outskirts killing an "ISIL" official. Adding to that, al-Nusra official nicknamed "al-Omda" had been captured with five members of the Takfiri group.
