AS-SAFIR
As-Safir newspaper reported that Hizbullah has conducted an unprecedented operations against the terrorist groups that have infiltrated into Lebanese territories, according to the source, the resistance fighters using a reconnaissance plane, monitored a takfiri group that was preparing for a terrorist attack inside the Lebanese Arsal lands, right at the Lebanese anti-mountain range in the east. The resistance fighters targeted the armed group killing and injuring all its members, as well as destroyed their armed vehicle and operations room.
According to the Lebanese daily, this operation included a number of messages most important of which are:
- Pointing out to the Lebanese government that they should take the Arsal issue very seriously.
- Delivering a message that the Hizbullah resistance is very decisive in its battle against the takfiri groups and there is no joke about the intention of the resistance to free Lebanon from takfiri occupation.
- Assuring that Hizbullah has the capability to control the Arsal barrens and monitor them from afar in such a manner that they can observe every move of the terrorist groups.
- Revealing the readiness of the resistance in continuation to its performance in Qalamoun battles, and showing how precise it can be in targeting the enemy.
- Psychological war on the extremists dispersed in Arsal outskirts through disseminating the videos of operations in which the resistance targeted the terrorist groups.
AL-BINAA
Well-informed sources told al-Binaa newspaper that the operation conducted by Hizbullah in the outskirts of Arsal is very important, and that it reveals the major capabilities of the resistnce forces and the qualitative operations of the resistance in face of the takfiri threat.
The operation, in which all members of a takfiri group fell dead or injured amazed the friends and foes at once, said the paper. The Hizbullah, according to the paper, delivered an important message to the takfiri extremists, implying that the resistance can uproot the takfirist from Qalamoun completely. Sources told the paper that the "importance of the operations lies in the fact that the resistance has revealed developed capabilities, not to mention the ability to adapt to the tough circumstances, proving that arms technology is not solely in the hands of "Israel" as proven by the planes used by Hizbullah to monitor and target the groups.
AL-JOMHOURIYA
The Lebanese army boosted its measures in the northeastern border town of Arsal to avert any possible attack by militants in the wake of battles in Syria's Qalamoun, said a military source, telling al-Jomhouriya newspaper that the "precautions level up to the challenges."
He denied that Hizbullah or any other faction passed through the areas that are under the army's control to reach the outskirts of Arsal. "The battles are in Syria and not in zones under military control."
Asked if Hizbullah could enforce security in Arsal if battles reached it, the source said that "the army is the only authority responsible for the security of the town and will not allow any side to assist it in the matter."
The source went on to say "Only the army is safeguarding the sovereignty of its territories and implementing the cabinet's policy."
A source close to the March 8 alliance stressed that Hizbullah "will not open Arsal Battle but will not remain mum over the state's failure to control border towns and their outskirts," in reiteration to the keenness of the resistance on Lebanon's unity and preventing any sectarian strife.
The IS and Nusra Front have infiltrated Lebanon in the past, and last August briefly overran Arsal, taking with them several soldiers and policemen hostage. Four of whom have been executed.
