In details, the Mujahedeen from Hizbullah thwarted an assault by "ISIL" terrorists at dawn on al-Mazbaha hilltop between Jouseih and al-Qaa.

They inflicted several casualties in the ranks of the takfiri group, destroying around 10 vehicles, reports said.

Videos from battlefield showed the corpses of several "ISIL" militants killed inside the posts they had attacked, as the Resistance held the bodies of 14 "ISIL" terrorists killed.

As the Resistance shelled a gathering of "ISIL" militants on Arsal's eastern outskirts, it killed the group's "most notable leader in Qalamoun," identified as Saudi national Walid Abdel-Mohsen al-Omari. The information added that four other takfiris were also slain in the shelling.

In addition several "ISIL's" military vehicles, motorcycles and a bulldozer were destroyed, along with a rocket launcher and an artillery battery.

Hours earlier, Hizbullah managed to link the outskirts of the town of Fleita in the Syrian al-Qalamoun region with the edges of the northeastern border town of Arsal.

The Islamic Resistance victories continued as it recently achieved gains against al-Qaeda branch in Syria and Iraq [al-Nusra Front] in the area, compelling fighters to retreat from their positions.
