"Israel's" confusion regarding military intervention in Syria is not over yet. At the time when "Tel Aviv" hints that it will help the Druze towns in Syria, even if it's forced to resort to military intervention, the Zionist entity assures that intervention is out of question, and it will not involve itself in the war in a direct manner.

’Israel’ Fears Intervention in Syria: Learns from Lebanon

Eyal Zisser wrote in "Israel Hayom": "Any assistance must be lent with eyes wide open and be devoid of expectations or illusions."

Zisser stated that any "Israeli" involvement in Syria must be wary and realistic and it must avoid any military presence in the war-torn country, even if "ISIL" arrives at the border or "al-Nusra Front" trains its sights on "Israel".

This fight has to be waged based on sophisticated intelligence, and "Israel" must resist being dragged into the refugee-ridden Syrian sphere where the population might turn against it in the blink of an eye.

"Israel Hayom" indicated that the world knows how "Israel" became involved in Lebanon: A civil war had ravaged the country in the mid-1970s and "Israel" interfered for "humanitarian aid" in the face of the Palestine Liberation Organization. The Zionist entity included military assistance as part of the aid offered.

The rest of the story is well known, "Israel" remained in South Lebanon for years, maintaining a security zone from which it withdrew in 2000 after realizing that staying within the Lebanese territory was not an option.

The paper concluded that the lesson learned from the Lebanese experience must resonate with "Israel's" leaders whenever they consider the Syrian dilemma.

Any involvement, partial as it may be, will drag "Israel" into a prolonged military presence in an area where the residents' welcome may change in an instant, as regardless of whether the entity is dealing with Syrian Druze or not, they see themselves as part of the Arab and Syrian spheres.

However, the Syrian Druze have made it clear that they do not want "Israel's" help, stating that they see themselves as part of the Syrian state.
