’Israel’ Revokes Entry Permits for 500 Gazans
Local Editor
The Zionist entity decided on Wednesday it was revoking permits for 500 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to enter al-Quds ahead of Friday prayers.
A spokeswoman for the "Israeli" government declared that the repealing of some measures that eased restrictions on Palestinians during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan applied to this week only and was because of alleged rocket fire from the Palestinian enclave.
In a similar move, the Zionist entity had previously revoked the permits of as many as 500 Palestinian worshipers from the occupied West Bank who intended to participate in Friday prayers.
Early on Wednesday, "Israeli" warplanes conducted a number of airstrikes on an area in the north of the besieged Gaza Strip. The attacks on the coastal enclave followed reports of an alleged rocket attack from the Gaza Strip.
Further, the Tel Aviv regime had pounded several parts across the blockaded area under different pretexts.
On May 27, the "Israeli" air force carried out similar attacks on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, as well as on Rafah and Khan Younis.
The Zionist government had imposed a blockade on the coastal Palestinian territory since June 2007, which had resulted in a drop in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment and unrelenting poverty.
"Israel" also launched a 50-day war on the besieged area in early July 2014, martyring over 2,200 Palestinians, including 577 children.
Over 11,100 others, including 3,374 children, 2,088 women and 410 elderly people, were also injured in the Zionist assaults, which ended in late August.
