Riot Continues As ’Israeli’ Court Orders Destruction of Two Settling Buildings
Local Editor
"Israel's" so-called "top court" on Wednesday ordered the demolition of two apartment buildings in the West Bank settlement of Beit El, rejecting a petition against the razing and enraging settlers and right-wing politicians.
"The bulldozers should destroy the Supreme Court," said Knesset member Moti Yogev.
This comes after the settlers in Beit El continued to clash with the Zionist police for the past two days, occupying the buildings slated for demolition.
On Tuesday, "Israeli" police forces took control of the two buildings under construction, evicting dozens of extremist settlers, barricading themselves in one of the structures.
Dozens of settlers were evacuated, some arrested. Some scuffles continued throughout the day in the settlement located near the West Bank city of Ramallah.
The clashes began Monday night when some 50 activists holed themselves up in the buildings and refused to be removed by police.
"Israeli" War minister Moshe Yaalon, who came under criticism from right wing coalition members such as so-called education minister Naftali Bennet, issued a statement saying he would not cooperate with law breaking activities.
