US Treasury Official in ’Israel’ over Iran Deal

US Acting Under Secretary for so-called "Terrorism and Financial" Intelligence Adam Szubin will travel to the Zionist entity from Friday through Monday, the Treasury said in a statement.
It will be his first visit there since the nuclear deal was signed in July.
While in "Israel", Szubin is scheduled to discuss details of the nuclear deal and "emphasize the United States' commitment to increasing cooperation with "Israel" to combat Iran," the Treasury said.
He said he would discuss deepening sanctions against Hizbullah and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards during his visit to Tel Aviv.
"Intensifying those sanctions and ensuring that they bite ever deeper is a core part of my mission," he said. "We plan to enforce them with all the toughness that people have come to expect from the US Treasury."
Congress will vote in September on whether to approve the deal reached between six world powers, including the United States, and Iran. Obama has vowed to veto any legislation aimed at blocking the deal.
